VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS

Volunteer Here

Parents and/or Guardians of Under 14 to Under 18 athletes are required to complete a Volunteer Roster. Parents/Guardians of Under 20 and Open athletes are encouraged to fulfill a volunteer role over the weekend of competition.

INFORMATION FOR CENTRES

Site Marquees Map

We ask that each Centre bring their Coles and Go for 2&5 marquee as per the attached map, to provide enough shade for athletes, officials and volunteers throughout the competition. If your Coles/Go for 2&5 marquee is damaged, please bring a plain marquee in it’s place. Marquees can be dropped at the stadium on Thursday afternoon (during the stadium opening hours 3:00pm - 7:00pm), on Friday between 10:00am - 5:00pm, or on Saturday morning prior to 8am.

EVENT CLASHES

In the event of a competitor entering two events which overlap in the program, the competitor must inform the official when reporting for the first event. It MAY be possible for the competitor to compete in the second event as well, however a trial (jump or throw) can only be held during its designated round. Track will always take precedence over field events.

IMPLEMENTS

IMPLEMENT CHECK IN: A reminder that personal implements must be submitted to Technical at a minimum of one hour prior to the event start.

Javelin - We encourage athletes participating in javelin to submit implements at least 90 minutes prior to the event to ensure sufficient time for multiple submissions. Athletes should also ensure javelin implements are not covered in dirt prior to check in.

Discus – Athletics Australia have provided a directive from the national Technical Committee that relates to the last paragraph of TR34.1, where by manufacturer stickers and stickers put on implements in the past by Technical Judges should be removed. If you are submitting a personal implement into the competition, please note as a national permit meet, this will be implemented. Athletics Australia have advised the same protocol will be in place for Athletics Australia Tour Meets and the Australian Championships.
