STATE 5,000M CHAMPIONSHIPS & AUSTRALIAN WALKS CHAMPIONSHIPS

The State 5000m Championships took place on Friday night, with Under 20 and Open contesting the 12.5 lap race. The Open State titles were claimed by Sinead Noonan (17:13.46) and Kurt Wesley (14:56.18), with the Under 20 State titles won by Tia Chitty (17:43.68) and Brandon Ford (14:55.61). Congratulations to all athletes and their coaches and support teams.

TOKYO 2020 OLYMPIC QUALIFIER FOR KURTIS MARSCHALL

The first event of the Coles Summer Super Series; the Jandakot Airport Track Classic has set the bar extremely high in competition, with West Australian Pole Vaulter Kurtis Marschall jumping 5.80m, which is a Tokyo 2020 Olympic qualifying height.

All Schools Success as Team WA wins the Small State Trophy

It was a weekend that had it all for Team WA - personal bests, meet records and medals galore, culminating in the Small State Trophy victory to conclude the 2019 Australian All Schools Championships. There was extreme heat and pouring rain, but consistency could be found in the effort of the 203 WA athletes giving their best despite trying conditions.
