COLES AUSTRALIAN LITTLE ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC), is an annual two-day National Championships, which is the pinnacle event for Little Athletics.
ALAC with it overarching Teams element, incorporates the Australian Teams Championships - ATC, with Teams experience being an important and fundamental aspect and point of difference with other events. Athletes compete for individual rewards; however, their performances contribute towards the Team awards and Trophies that are on offer, which is the major difference and focus of the Australian Teams Championships - ATC.
Featuring Team activities, Opening and Closing Ceremonies with Teams Marching, Team Chants, the athletic competition along with social interactions, ATC provides athletes and their families with an outstanding experience. ATC has a wonderful history dating back to 1973 and has provided memories for many athletes and continues to grow and develop.

ALAC will be open to all athletes who are members with Athletics West and eligible age to compete.

TEAM NOMINATION
All athletes must nominate in advance to be considered for the team. Nominate Here
ALL ATHLETES wishing to be considered for selection for the WA State team MUST indicate this when registering to compete through the WA State Junior Championships entry portal. Participants will be asked whether they wish to be considered for State Team selection for the 2027 Australian Little Athletics Championships, and only athletes who check this box to indicate ‘YES’ will be considered.

Able Bodied: 26 girls and 26 boys will be selected per age group for the Australian Teams Championships. Selection is based on filling the strongest possible team across multiple events.

Multi-Class- 12 athletes per age group (must hold a provisional classification at a minimum)
TEAM TRAVEL | Full Team package (inc. full uniform) is compulsory for 2014 born athletes & 2015 athletes who only do ALAC. The team travel will be 9 April- 13 April 2027. Athletics West will book accommodation, flights, ground transport, meals, team activities for all athletes who accept the position on the team.
TEAM SUPPORT | Athletics West will be sending team managers and coaches to support the touring WA Team at the event. We will also be conducting team sessions ahead of the Championships to allow athletes to get to know their teammates and prepare for the event.

Under Age athletes are required to wear WA State Team uniform (Valour Only). The State Team uniform will be required for travel, competition and championship requirements.

The required uniform is a WA State Team competition top and competition bottoms.
- Competition Top- choice of singlet or T-Shirt or crop top
- Competition Bottom- choice of running shorts, compression tights, travel shorts or briefs
- Travel- Travel Polo, travel shorts or tracksuit bottoms
- Opening/Closing Ceremony- State Team Cap, Tracksuit Jacket, Tracksuit Bottoms

Trophies will be presented to the Winning Team of each age group based on the points score of all athletes including Multi-Class, according to the ATC Points Table and Regulations.
Winning Team of each of the four Trophies will receive a replica of the Perpetual Trophy to keep.
- LA U12/ AA U13 Age Group – Maxine Boyd Trophy – Highest Overall Points Total score.
- LA U13/ AA U14 Age Group - Trevor Billingham Trophy – Highest Overall Points Total score.
The Points Adjusted Trophies are only available to the smaller Member Associations of: CA, SA, TAS, AW & NT.
- LA U12/ AA U13 Age Group – Dick Healey Trophy – Highest Overall Points Adjusted score.
- LA U13/ AA U14 Age Group - Alan Triscott Trophy – Highest Overall Points Adjusted score.
