Athletics West is excited to support 'Come & Try Frame Running' sessions at Bunbury Regional Athletics Centre as part of the Access Athletics inclusion program with support from Rebound WA.
Participants are encouraged to any sessions and asked to please specify dates in registration to ensure equipment is available.
This program is perfect for anyone aged 8 and above (including adults) with cerebral palsy GMFCS levels II-IV or any disability requiring assistance to walk or run. Participants can try Frame Running for the first time or further develop their skills in this innovative activity designed for people with physical disabilities.
The program includes:
- sizing for running frames
- learning to use a FrameRunner
- engaging in activities in a supportive environment
Sessions will be conducted by experienced physiotherapists and accredited athletics coaches. Frames are available for loan, though places are limited based on frame sizes available. If participants already have a FrameRunner, they’re encouraged to use it. All participants should bring their own helmet for safety.
Places are limited (depending on frame sizes available for loan). If you require access to a FrameRunner through ReboundWA please complete the measurement requirements upon registration. A guide for frame sizes can be found here.
