This meet is ratified by World Athletics and Australian Athletics, in events for the Open, Under 20, Under 18 and U16 age groups ONLY. All other events will be ratified as an Australia Athletics Domestic permit.

The WA Combined Events Championships offers championship events for Little Athletics, Junior, and Senior members across the combined events disciplines (Pentathlon, Heptathlon, Decathlon, Tri Challenge, and Quadrathlon).

ENTRY & ELIGIBILITY

Entry: Entry is open to all members from U7 (Born 2021) – Open (Born 2007+).

Under 7 (Born 2021) - Under 11 (Born 2017) are non-medalling events. 

Under 12 (Born 2016) - Open (Born 2007+), including Masters are Championship and medalling events.

Qualification to enter:There is no qualification criteria to enter this event.

As this is a Combined Event competition, any athlete failing to attempt to start or make a trial in one of the events shall not be entitled to receive an individual medal and will be prohibited from competing and scoring points in subsequent events within the Combined Event competition.

 

COMPETITION PROCESS

COMPETITION BIBS

  • All athletes must wear their 2026/27 Season competition bibs. All athletes MUST wear their ONE (1) competition bib on the front of their uniform, affixed to the front of their uniform with no less than four pins by each corner.
  • If this event is an athletes first competition for the 2026/27 seasons, bibs will be available from the Technical Information Centre (TIC). ONLY Athletics west independent and Masters athletes are to collect from the TIC, which is located near the 100m start. All other athletes must collect their competition number prior to competing from their club/centre.

CALL ROOM PROCESS

Call Room will only be in operation for the first event for each age group. Athletes must report to marshalling for the first event. Failure to report for the first event will result in the athlete being withdrawn from the competition.

Following the conclusion of each event, the Combined Events Referee and Competition Management will determine the start and marshalling time of each subsequent event. There will be an interval of at least 30 minutes between the time one event ends and the next event beginning, unless otherwise agreed by all competitors and the Combined Events Referee.

The 30-minute interval may include time at the Cal Room area. The timetable is provided as a guide of events for the day; however, subsequent event timings may change through the day.

For the second and subsequent events, athletes will be instructed by their Event Group Coordinator as to the meeting location for the upcoming event.

WARM UP PROCESS

Athletes may warm up on the main track until 15 minutes prior to the start time of the first track event, following that time athletes must warm up outside of the black barriers or behind the grandstand.

General warm up will not be permitted elsewhere in the arena, except for field events once the previous event has finished. At the conclusion of your event, all athletes must leave the main track immediately.

LATE ENTRIES

NO late entries will be available for this event.

We ask that all Volunteers please check in for their chosen role at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Volunteers must sign in at TIC, where they will receive a volunteer vest, which must be returned to TIC upon completion.
