Jumps masterclass

The Jumps Masterclass is a coach development opportunity designed for coaches seeking to specialise in the jumps events as part of the Australia Athletics Level 3 Performance Coach accreditation pathway. Covering Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump and Pole Vault, the Masterclass provides in-depth technical and practical learning to support coaches working with athletes across the performance pathway. 

The Masterclass is also open to coaches who are not currently undertaking their Level 3 accreditation but are seeking to expand their expertise in the jump disciplines. Whether you coach developing athletes, emerging talent, or simply want to broaden your knowledge across jumps events, this Masterclass offers valuable insights to enhance your coaching practice.

Coach Facilitator - James Fitzpatrick

James Fitzpatrick is the Head Coach of Pole Vault at the Western Australian Institute of Sport and an accredited Australian Athletics Level 4 High Performance Coach with experience in coaching developing level and high-performance pole vaulters. James currently coaches Olympic Champion Nina Kennedy and has worked with athletes winning Commonwealth Games, World Championships and Olympic Games medals. He has served as an Australian Team Coach for World Under 20 Championships, World Championships and Olympic Games. An advocate for holistic and long-term athlete development as the catalyst for high-performance success, he has a strong commitment to leading a culture that nurtures and facilitates the individual athlete’s sporting journey. James has a passion for coach development and leads through mentorship of emerging coaches and advocacy for the continued growth and recognition of coaches as leaders within the sport of athletics.
