Community Coaching Session: relay coaching for club success & state relay preperation
Building fast, confident, and consistent relay teams in real club environments
A focused, practical workshop designed to give community coaches the tools, systems, and confidence to develop effective relay teams across junior and senior age groups. This session prioritises simple frameworks, repeatable training methods, and reliable race-day execution along with key officiating rule clarifications to be aware .
Presenter: Lyn Foreman OAM & Cliff Bernard
Lyn is a current Level 5 IAAF coach with an extensive experience coaching athletes of all levels from Juniors to Olympians with an advanced understanding in elite performance and holistic athlete development. With a deep passion for Relays which includes numerous coaching opportunities at an International level, Lyn is best placed in assisting to prepare your relay team in advance of State Relay Championships.
Cliff Bernard was recently recognised for obtaining his World Athletics Bronze Referee qualifications. As the Education Coordinator with WAAOC and a member of the Athletics West Officiating Working Group, Cliff has an excellent understanding of the Athletics Rules with the ability to communicate effectively to ensure that all coaches and athletes are well across all rules prior to the State Relay Championships.
