2022-23 LAUREL WREATH RECIEPIENTS

Athletics West is excited to announce the Laurel Wreath recipients for the 2022-23 Summer Season powered by Go For 2&5.

Awarded to WA’s top athletes in recognition of their national and international performances, this year’s recipients represent a historical class with a World Championship medallist, seven Commonwealth Games Medallist and four World Under 20 Championship representatives.

Nina Kennedy leads the group after a sensational 2022 International Season. The WA Pole Vaulter collected Australia’s first-ever women’s jumps medal at the 2022 World Athletics Championships, which she then followed up with gold at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games and multiple Diamond League wins, including the Finals in Zurich. Madison de Rozario, Kurtis Marschall, Peter Bol and Declan Tingay round out the WA’s top five recipients.

The Laurel Wreath selection process allocated competition numbers based on Open International results, Junior International results, Open Australian records, and National Open results.
