2024 ATHLETICS WEST AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED

Athletics West is thrilled to announce the 2024 Athletics West Awards recipients. Hosted at The Boulevard Centre, Floreat as part of the 2024 National Volunteer Week and drew over 135 community members.
Recognising the previous 12 months of performances on and off the track, Athletics West CEO Vince Del Prete said he was “delighted to honour so many incredible individuals who help make up the Athletics West community.”
From World Championship medallists to grassroots volunteers, the Awards was an opportunity to acknowledge the ongoing success of the sport’s One Sport pathway. Backed by an incredible volunteer workforce and held during National Volunteer Week to help recognise their contribution, the sport celebrated a breakout year for the state.
“To have the opportunity to celebrate our volunteers alongside our Paris 2024 hopefuls is a fantastic reflection of the sport’s growing pathway. While the focus in the next few months will certainly be on our Olympic and Paralympic athletes, it is fantastic to celebrate our volunteers as a community,” Del Prete said.
“Volunteers are an integral part of the athletics community and play a crucial role in ensuring the best opportunities for our athletes.”
“They are vital to the development of our athletes, and we are so grateful for what they do in building and growing our community.”
134 individuals were recognised with Athletics West awards for Coaching, Officiating and Athlete performances.
