2025-26 LAUREL WREATH ANNOUNCEMENT

Athletics West is excited to announce the Laurel Wreath recipients for the 2025-26 Summer Season powered by Fuel to Go & Play. 

Awarded to WA’s top athletes in recognition of their national and international performances, this year’s recipients represent a class field of athletes who have represented Australia and Western Australia at the 2025 Tokyo World Championships and 2025 New Delhi Para Athletics Championships, as well as those who delivered sensational performances at domestic meets including the Australian Athletics Championships in Perth earlier this year.  

Kurtis Marschall’sbronze medal performance in Tokyo at the 2025 World Championships last month, landed the UWA athlete with number one honours. Peter Bolhas been awarded number two after breaking the Men’s Australian 800m record at the Australian Championships and bettering it again in Monaco with a standout performance during the Diamond League.  

Rhiannon Clarkehad another big season on the track, placing fifth in the 400m, and seventh in the 100m at the Para World Championships in New Delhi while also being crowned the Australian Champion across the T38 100m, 200m, and 400m earlier this year. A slew of incredible results means the star Para Athlete will wear the number three Laurel Wreath for the 2025-26 Summer Season powered by Fuel to Go & Play.
