Athletics West Appoints Tyson Beattie as Chief Executive Officer

Athletics West is pleased to announce the appointment of Tyson Beattie as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking an exciting new chapter for the organisation and the athletics community across Western Australia.

Tyson brings almost 20 years of experience in sports management and administration, having held leadership roles with some of Western Australia's leading sporting organisations, including the West Coast Eagles and Western Force. He began his career in the United States in the College Athletics system and has extensive experience in strategic planning, commercial operations, stakeholder engagement, governance, and organisational leadership.

As CEO, Tyson will lead Athletics West in delivering its vision to grow participation, support athlete development, strengthen club networks, and enhance the profile of athletics throughout the state.

"I am honoured to join Athletics West and I thank the board for the opportunity to lead the organisation into a new era,” said Tyson Beattie.

"Athletics has a proud history in Western Australia and plays an important role in communities across the state. Athletics West Director George Pappas welcomed Tyson's appointment, highlighting his proven leadership credentials and deep understanding of the sporting landscape.
