ATHLETICS WEST AWARDS ARE BACK AND BIGGER THAN EVER

Athletics West is excited to announce a revitalised Athletics West Awards night aimed at celebrating the best of our community. Set for the 16^th May 2026, the night event will honour the best of the community and offer a chance for our community to come together, with tickets now on sale.

Redeveloped following feedback from the community, this year’s Awards ceremony is an evolution of previous ceremonies and will expand several categories to better acknowledge the athletics community.

The 2026 Athletics West Awards will introduce new awards including:

·        Junior Track Club of the Year

·        Junior Field Club of the Year

·        Male and Female Masters Athlete of the Year

·        Performance of the Year – WA State Championships (Junior)

·        Performance of the Year – WA State Championships (Senior)

·        Performance of the Year – Australian Championships (Junior)

·        Performance of the Year – Australian Championships (Senior)

All of these awards, including the other identified Competition Awards will be honoured at the Ceremony.

As part of the runway into the new Awards Ceremony, Athletics West are thrilled to announce finalists for the Performance of the Year – WA State Championships. The finalists have been selected by the office following their performance at the 2026 Fuel to Go & Play WA State Track and Field Championships. Congratulations to our finalists:

The 2026 Athletics West Awards are set for May 16^th at Mineral Resources Park and tickets are now available for purchase. Tickets are limited, with nominees and finalists to receive a free ticket.
