AW APPOINT NEW DIRECTORS TO BOARD

Athletics West is excited to announce the appointment of two new Board Directors, Carl Heslop and Tamsin Elridge, as well as the reappointment of Catherine Manners, following a thorough application process.

As the organisation enters a new era and looks to further embed it's vision of 'leading the way for a greater experience with athletics from grassroots to elite', Athletics West is excited to welcome such highly accomplished individuals to the board. 

Carl Heslop brings extensive experience in the areas of not-for-profit governance and organisational risk, strategy and restructure in his roles as Chairperson of Amity Health and National Clinical Advisor to Headspace, amongst other not-for-profit board positions. Carl is the recent President of Albany Athletics Club during which time he was able to oversee and lead the strategic integration of Albany Little Athletics into one club, strengthening governance, culture, and long‑term sustainability of athletics in the region.

Tamsin Eldridge has over 20 years of experience working in the legal profession for top tier, international and Australian corporate entities with experience advising on marketing strategies and compliance. She has been a non-executive director for Good Sammy Enterprises for the past 11 years and a member of their investment committee, having overseen various acquisition opportunities, strategic reviews and driving a focus on purpose and sustainability. Tamsin is also a parent to some Little Athletes.

Catherine Manners has been reappointed to the board. Catherine is a skilled IT professional and CPA with 18 years experience in mining, energy, finance, banking and technology across a range of roles. She has made valuable contributions as a member of the Finance, Risk and Audit Committee as well as helping Athletics West translate its strategic visions into plans to improve and grow the sport and experience for the members. Catherine continues her connection with athletics as a current Masters athlete.
