PATHWAYS ADVISORY COMMITTEE 2023-24

The Pathways Advisory Committee (PAC) provides contextual strategic guidance and local insight to the Board in relation to all competition related elements of the sport. 

The objectives of the PAC include:

• Conduct ongoing review of the AW Rules of Competition with the aim of aligning with AA / LAA requirements, rectify any inconsistencies identified and clarify ambiguities within the document;
• Provide recommendations to the AW Pathways Development Coordinator regarding the promotion of “competition programming" throughout the various state-wide athletics competitions; 
• To make recommendations on State Championships standards and procedures; and
• To review competition related areas referred by the Board for investigation analysis, and to provide recommendations to the Board on these matters.

Following the nomination process in May, Athletics West is pleased to advise the appointed members of the Pathways Advisory Committee for the 2023-24 Season include:

• Danni Dix, Nathan Cunningham and David Bevis (Little Athletics associated members)
• Russell Mathanda, Brenton Mizen and Danny Kevan (Athletics associated members)
• Matthew Vine and Paul Lever (Registered Athletics West Officials)

Recruitment for an Independent Chairperson is still in progress.
