TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT | 2024 INTERNATIONAL TOUR

Athletics West is delighted to announce a 33-athlete-strong team, that is set to depart to Kuala Lumpur for the International Tour early next month.
The 29th Annual International Tour will see selected Athletics West Athletes compete alongside the Singapore Sports School Council (SSSC) and Ministry of Education Malaysia in a two-day competition at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
Athletes aged 14 and 15, who medalled at the 2024 WA State Track and Field Championships powered by Go For 2&5, or State Combined Event Championships, were invited to be nominated for the team to represent Western Australia at the International Athletics Competition.
The team are set to depart Perth on Wednesday, July 10, spending four days in Kuala Lumpur, two of which will be spent participating in the competition and the other two days doing fun activities and sightseeing with their team.
“The International Tour is an exciting opportunity for young athletes to immerse themselves in new cultures and learn new skills, all while forming special bonds with their teammates and creating memories to last a lifetime.” Said Athletics West CEO Vince Del Prete.
