TEAM SELECTED FOR 2021 AUSTRALIAN MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIPS

Athletics West is excited to announce the WA State Team who will be competing on the Gold Coast at the 2021 Australian Marathon Championships. The 12 selected athletes will line up against the country's finest marathon runners on Sunday the 4th of July to see who will claim the National titles.

The Championships will be held as part of the Village Roadshow Theme Park Gold Coast Marathon. Famous for its flat, fast and scenic course located alongside the city’s renowned surf beaches and broadwater, the selected athletes will be competing both as individuals and as a team.

The first three eligible men and women to finish the Village Roadshow Theme Parks Gold Coast Marathon will be presented with Australian Championship medals. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be also be presented in the men's and women's team's competition. The top three finishers in each team scoring points towards their state team result.

The 2021 Australian Marathon Championships is open to all athletes who are registered with an Athletics Australia affiliated club and meet Athletics Australia rules for National competition. Athletics West would like to wish all of the WA runners competing in the event the best of luck.
