WEEKEND PREVIEW: LITTLE ATHLETICS WALKS CHAMPIONSHIPS & WA STATE CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Little Athletics Road Walking Championships and WA State Cross Country Championships are set to be held this weekend, with athletes taking to the pavement, grass and sand across the two events.

Little Athletics members will contest the Little Athletics Road Walking Championships at Eliza Cave Reserve (Cnr Bibra Drive & Style Court), at the event hosted by Cockburn Little Athletics Centre. The event will feature athletes from Under 9's through to Under 17's over 1000m, 1500m and 2000m distances.

The WA State Cross Country Championships will be held for the first time at Kings Park, with races for junior, senior, and Masters athletes, as well as an opportunity for runners of all ages and abilities to try cross country running through all-comers events. The event will see 336 athletes competing over distances from 1km-10km. To celebrate our reigning State Champions, the following event bibs have been allocated to last year's winners who are set to defend their title:
