2024 WA JUNIOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS NOW OPEN

Registrations for the 2024 WA State Junior Track and Field Championships powered by Go For 2&5 are now open.
The 2024 WA State Junior Track and Field Championships powered by Go For 2&5 will be held from the 8th to the 10th of March and will see some of WA’s brightest future stars battle it out to be crowned State Champion.

QUALIFICATION & ENTERING THE STATE JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2024 WA Junior State Track and Field Championships powered by Go For 2&5 are open to Little Athletics Members from the Under 9 to Under 13 age groups who have qualified.
Registrations for the WA Junior Championships powered by Go For 2&5 will be available via Results HQ. The Championship is open to all Little Athletics members who have achieved the below qualification requirement.
Metro Athletes
- Achieving the entry standard at Little Athletics Centre or Zone Championships competition and/or
- Automatically qualify at the Zones Championships by achieving:
- Top 3 placing in the Long Hurdles, 800m, 1500m, Walks, Discus, Javelin, or High Jump
- Top 4 placing for Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put
- Top 5 placing for 70m, 100m, 200m, 400m and Short Hurdles
Country Athletes
- Achieving the entry standard at their Little Athletics Centre or Zone Championships competition (25 February 2024) and/or
- Automatically qualify by placing in the top 2 at the 2024 WA Country Championships.
Registrations close on the 29th of February at 11:59 pm, with no late entries being accepted.
NATIONAL PROGRESSION
The Australian Little Athletics Championships will take place in Adelaide from the 26th to the 28th of April 2024.
This is a team-based event for U13 Little Athletics athletes. They must nominate to be considered for the team. Little Athletics members who have been nominated will be considered for selection based on performances from either or both the WA State Championships (22-25 February) or the WA State Junior Championships (8-10 March).
For the avoidance of doubt, athletes can choose to compete in either Championship, or both, and any results will be considered as part of the selection process. Athletes must be registered with the Little Athletics Program to be considered for selection.
