WA STATE HALF MARATHON CHAMPIONSHIP

The WA State Half Marathon Championship was held on the 8 November in partnership with the West Australian Marathon Club (WAMC) asÂ part of the Fremantle Running Festival. The Festival, managed and conducted by the WAMCÂ returnedÂ to the heart of the Fremantle CBD, starting and finishing on Fremantleâ€™s cafe strip. The Championship race was hotly contested, with a field of approximately 1,000 half marathoners, making the eventÂ the biggest Fremantle Running FestivalÂ in its 36 year history.

After three days of fierce competition at the Go For 2&5 WA All Schools Championships, 203 Athletes from 89 WA High Schools have been selected in the 2020 WA State All Schools Team.

The first WA State Championship of the 2020-21 season has been held and did not disappoint with five records falling.Â Capping off the third program of the 2020-21 Go For 2&5 Track and Field season, the 10,000m Championship saw 17 athletes battle it out.

FUNDING RELIEF TO HELP AUSTRALIA'S LITTLE ATHLETES STAY ON TRACK

More than 150 Little Athletics centres from around Australia, including 10 from WA, have been given much-needed funding relief ahead of the summer season thanks to a $521,000 cash injection for sports equipment from Coles.
