PARALYMPIC POWERHOUSES STRENGTHEN CREDENTIALS AT MAURIE PLANT MEET - MELBOURNE

Three Paralympic champions along with six global para athletics medallists will give fans a taste of what’s to come at the Paris Paralympic Games this year, with world record holders Vanessa Low and James Turner leading the charge at the Maurie Plant Meet – Melbourne next Thursday at Lakeside Stadium.

MOORCROFT & HYDE-COOLING CLAIM OPEN STATE 3000M TITLES

A huge Friday night of athletics action has delivered the latest round of State Championships medals with WA stalwarts Thomas Moorcroft and Lauren Hyde-Cooling collecting the Open 3000m titles. The WA Athletics Stadium saw competitive fields across the underage competitions with leading runs by Sienna Hanikeri and Ky Hehir collecting wins in the Under 20 age group.

The relaunch of the Night of the Go For 2&5 brought high energy to the WA Athletics Stadium with Charli-Rose Carlyon and Matthew Ramsden leading the way in the 5000m State Championships to claim line honours and the night's fastest times.

2024 WA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS NOW OPEN

Registrations for the 2024 WA State Track & Field Championships powered by Go For 2&5 are now open. The 2024 WA State Track & Field Championships powered by Go For 2&5 will be held from the 22 to 25 February and will see the best WA athletes battle it out at the WA Athletics Stadium.

2024 WA ZONE CHAMPIONSHIPS NOW OPEN

Registrations for the 2024 WA Little Athletics Zones Championships are now open. The WA Little Athletics Zones Championships will be held across three locations on the 17 & 18 February 2024 with all Little Athletics Members aged from Under 7 to Under 15 able to register to participate. .

EVENT PREVIEW | NIGHT OF THE GO FOR 2&5

WA Athletics Stadium is set to be treated to a running extravaganza this Saturday at the Night of the Go For 2&5, with the State’s best middle-distance athletes competing to claim the 5000m State Title and a cash prize. Matthew Ramsden and Ky Hehir will headline the Men’s 5000m, whilst Charli-Rose Carlyon will no doubt be leading from the front in the Women’s 5000m’s.

A huge weekend of athletics action has launched the 2024 season with Geraldton hosting more than 350 WA athletes for the 2024 Country Championships powered by Coles.

The 2023/24 Summer Season will relaunch this Friday as Geraldton plays host to the 2024 WA Country Championships powered by Coles. Over 400 of WA’s best Country Track and Field athletes are set to travel to the seaside city in the hopes of claiming a coveted gold medal, with the event also representing an opportunity for young athletes to qualify for the upcoming 2024 State Junior Track and Field Championships.

WA’s formidable 4x100m relay teams have closed out a dominant first day for the state at the 2023  Chemist Warehouse Australian All Schools Championships. Leading the medal tally for WA were the state’s latest Australian Champions including Olivia Dodds, Josiah John, Kassia Brown, Lauren Kelly and Luca Prokscha.

WA’s best school-aged athletes will stake their claim when they take on the rest of the country at the 2023 Chemist Warehouse Australian All Schools Championships this weekend. A formidable team of 203 athletes have been selected to represent the state over the three-day championships with the likes of Commonwealth Youth Games athletes Josiah John and Reese Prior, as well as World Athletics Under 20 hopefuls Olivia Dodds and Amelia Rowe to lead the team.
