It is set to be a massive weekend of athletics action in the West with the 2022 WA State Track & Field Championships powered by Go For 2&5 set for the WA Athletics Stadium. More than 530 of WA’s best athletes will compete for state titles, with strong fields in both track and field events.

EVENT RECAP | 2022 WA Combined Event Championship

The 2022 Combined Event Championships powered by Go For 2&5 couldn’t have landed on a hotter weekend. However, that didn’t stop WA’s top multi-event specialists from battling it out for the crown. More than 250 athletes from 20 different centres competed in the gruelling heat, with four athletes smashing state records over the course of the weekend.

EVENT RECAP | 2022 WA Country Championships Kalgoorlie

The 2022 WA Country Championships saw more than 330 athletes from 12 different centres from all over WA, battling it out in the gold mining town of Kalgoorlie. In some testing conditions under the Eastern goldfields sun, the athletes left it all on the track, producing some incredible results.

Vale William ‘Bill’ Tucker

Is it with great sadness that we advise the passing of William ‘Bill’ Tucker. Bill was a former Little Athletics Australia President from 1976-1980 and became a life member of Athletics West (formally WA Little Athletics Association), as well as Chairman from 1973-1976.

After three days of quality competition at the Go For 2&5 WA All Schools Championships, 210 athletes from 92 WA High Schools have been selected in the 2021 WA State All Schools Team.

International apparel and high-performance giant PUMA will be Athletics West’s new Merchandise and Apparel supplier commencing in November 2021. The new partnership is an extension of the largest apparel partnership in Athletics Australia’s history and will see a new range of merchandise, apparel, and high-performance kits created for West Australians.

The 2021 WA All Schools Championships powered by Go For 2&5 saw a massive 477 athletes descend on the WA Athletics Stadium for a packed weekend of athletics. Representing 152 WA High Schools, the weekend produced 2 new State Records, as well as 8 pending Australian Para Records.
