This is the nomination form for anyone who wishes to be considered for the positions of WA State Team Relay Coach for the 2023-24 Australian Championship Events

  1. Australian All Schools Athletics Championships (8-10 December 2023, Perth, WA)- Role Relay Coach
  2. Australian Track and Field Championships (11-19 April 2024, Adelaide, SA)- Role Relay Coach

Relays contested at Australian All Schools Championships (as of draft timetable)

  • Under 14: 4x100m (M + W), Mixed 4x200m
  • Under 16: 4x100m (M + W), Mixed 4x400m
  • Under 18: 4x100m (M + W), Mixed 4x400m

Relays contested at Australian Track and Field Championships (as of draft timetable)

  • Under 14: 4x100m (M + W); Mixed 4x200m
  • Under 16: 4x100m (M + W); 4x200m (M + W)
  • Under 18: 4x100m (M + W); 4x400m (M + W)
  • Under 20: 4x100m (M + W), 4x400m (M + W)
  • Open: 4x100m (M + W), 4x400m (M + W)

When nominating, please select event tickets appropriate to the age groups and events you would wish to be considered for . It is likely you will have to coordinate more than one team.

 

ROLE WA STATE TEAM RELAY COACH | Reporting to the WA State Team Manager, this position is responsible for the coordination of the WA state relay teams, including the final team selection, delivery of at least one relay training session prior to the championships and communication to selected athletes regarding training, warm up, practise sessions (during or prior to championships):

To be considered for this role you must have a

  • current Working With Children Check
  • Complete Sport Integrity Australia e-learning
  • previous experience in Relay Coaching and sprints 
  • Be minimum age of 18

Relay Coaches will be encouraged to 

  • Complete Play by the Rules Child Protection modules.

WA State Team Relay Coach is a voluntary role, though financial contribution of up to $250 and WA State Team polo will be provided for the championship.
